Crystal Hess – Account & Communications Manager
Q: What is your job title and how long have you been with the company?
A: I am the Account & Communications Manager. I’ve been here at Glassen for roughly 8 months.
Q: What is it like working at Glassen?
A: So far, it’s been great! The work is interesting and constantly changing – there is never a dull day!
Q: What do you like about the company culture?
A: My past work experiences have revolved around working in large global corporations. Working for a smaller firm is exciting because there are less management layers to get through, so my voice is really heard, and my opinions are really taken into consideration and implemented most of the time. All my colleagues are great to be around and work well together, which makes working here a great experience.
Q: What is your favorite part of the job?
A: I love that the work is constantly challenging me. Priorities can change daily, so work is never boring!
Q: What is unique about working at Glassen?
A: I’ve never worked for a company that is so flexible and where everyone’s opinion truly does matter. This gives me a greater sense of pride and ownership in my work.
Q: How would you summarize your job?
A: I help build a relationship with our clients to keep them happy and informed. I meet with clients on a quarterly basis to proactively manage their IT needs, requirements, and prepare for any future enhancements. I also manage our marketing needs, which include our social media presence as well as preparing and sending out our quarterly newsletters.
Q: What is something about you that not many people know?
A: I have a vast knowledge of all types of movies! Back in the day my Blockbuster card used to get a workout!
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
A: I love to garden, go for bike rides with my family and bake with the kids! I enjoy baking so much that I have been known to bring treats into the office on multiple occasions – sharing is caring!
Q: Are you currently binge-watching any shows?
A: I really enjoy Abbott Elementary, Chicago Fire, The Good Doctor, and Never Have I Ever. I just finished binge watching Firefly Lane and if you are looking for a tearjerker, that’s your show! Honestly though, at the end of the day I love to watch reruns of The Office!
Q: One thing you couldn’t live without?
A: My family and friends, they make life fun!
Q: What is something we should know about you?
A: I absolutely love fruit. On a daily basis I have a rainbow assortment of fruit cut and ready for munching on the counter!
